Gallahue break.

So much for heading home for a country concert. Hit my exit and realized I had text... concert canceled. Oh well. It was a good weekend anyways. I'd finished (most) of my homework Friday before heading out so I was able to be pretty chill. Saw the P's for a few hours and then picked up some El Maguay's (omg... #27 chicken, no beans is pretty much heaven). Saw the DUMBEST movie I have seen in a long time. So if anyone asks you to watch that movie about flies going to the moon, tell them to watch something that is actually good and doesn't make you want to vomit for a half an hour while you get used to the 3-D technology.

Headed back to Indy and managed to avoid any weather that was super bad... though parts of Indy and campus did look pretty beat up.

Most of the week has been school related, and then some meetings. Had my first Yat's experiance... it was good but not as good as everyone raves about. Tomorrow is lunch with Virgina and Connie P. I'm excited to make them look through my GALA pictures. This weekend I hope to hit Irish Fest downtown (no official Calei advertised... sad.) and I have to figure out how to make a decent sticky toffee pudding... (omg... sticky toffee pudding is pretty much heaven.)

Weekend.

My weekend has begun! Which is good b/c my friday was interesting. First I almost killed the plants we are going. I didn't read the water schedule well enough and missed that it was my turn to water. They're only 3 days old! Then I went to my second class and we were doing even more sudoku! I've already done an hour of sudoku this week! Why put me through this hell again??? stupid 10 points and the bubbly professor who doesn't lecture. At least I think my exam in my final class of the day went well. Which is a good sign- to think you did well on the bitch classes first exam.

Now it's time to get the weekend homework done so I can head to South Bend for a country concert. Country concert? yeah. really.

really cnn???

From CNN.com: How to Talk to your Doctor about God

1- how is this real reporting??

2- wow, it really does tell you to talk to your dr about god

3- it tells you to get a different dr if yours isn't religious enough for you

4- and the piece de la resistance... Comment 1 =

"I cannot comprehend how anyone could not have Faith??? Would it not make sense to believe than not to believe? Do you know where you will go when you die, when you find out there is a God and no chance to make up for the sin of not believing?? There are so many miracles that I have heard of with no explaination. My belief in Christ has made me a better person"

I'm sorry, I guess I just expect my doctor to feel that it's their job to do everything in their power to make me better. I don't want my doctor to think that it's ok to hope, for even the tiniest instant, that "a miracle" will occur, saving me in the end.

oh, yeah... and I'll continue to believe that it's over when I die because I'm not going to believe in anything "because it couldn't hurt"

VMA drama

Yes Jordan Sparks because having sex makes you a slut.

http://music.msn.com/music/opinion/in-defense-of-losing-your-virginity/?GT1=BUZZ1

AND because things happen in twos in my life... the defense of a slut...

Adrian (from that awful ABC family show The Secret Life of the American Teenager, yes, I watched every horrible episode this season): Yes, I have sex. I'm on the pill and I use condoms. I have safe sex.

WHICH! by the way... is a point in the article. "nice girls" are more likely to have unprotected sex than "sluts" because they don't know the facts (because no one ever told them)

I'm reminded of all the looks on the faces of the 17 year old "nice girls" (??) when during class they were informed by another student that they could get the pill free- without their parents knowing- from planned parenthood. Thank you abstinence only education! You did a great job teaching me that Doritos can give me AIDs!

Yummy!

It's been slow going getting my kitchen set up. Lots of stuff to clean before putting it away, and I didn't want to run a half empty dishwasher- stuff like that. THEN of course there was the leaky air conditioning in the unit above me that turned my kitchen into a lake for a few days. Today however I managed to make my first (from scratch) meal! Yummy, yummy chicken fried rice.

1- cook chicken that has been cut into bite size pieces and seasoned, put aside
2- cook onions until translucent, add frozen corn until no longer frozen, put aside
3- scramble two eggs until right before they set
4-add 1 take out container white rice, break up clumps
5- add back in the chicken and veg.
6- soy sauce! (to taste)
7- stir and let chill on the burner for a while
8- eat!!

Downside... leftovers must be eaten cold b/c there is still no microwave in the kitchen. This instant is actually the first time this has been a problem. Good thing I like cold food!!

Note- I do miss the days when I knew my cell phone would ring at least once and the person on the other end wouldn't have anything to say. They just wanted to talk to me. (No, dad... this doesn't not mean you need to call me, though you can if you want to)
