An Interesting Night.

So Miss Julie here is back at Butler for Christmas training (pre-San Juan). So far nothing too bad, it's not hard, the word I came up with for how I feel is week. That could be from the stomach thing I had Wednesday and Thursdayish. Anyway, we worked the Pacers game tonight (a loss to the Char-somethin' bobcats) and I got chosen to do soda vending. You know those people that walk in the stands and yell at you until you buy something, (usually they only sell beer)? Ya, I did that. At least I wasn't the guys b/c the girls got smaller buckets and straps (you know we are girls, lol) to carry around. Not bad. I made $17 in tips! sweet, and I didn't short change anyone to get that much. It was ok once it got started but they beginning was a little shaky, or a lot shaky.

Had a good Christmas. Saw all the family on both sides. I did learn that the little kids in Conor's family know/like me better than the little kids in my own family. Oh well, I see them more. (Conors mom takes care of them a couple of days a week). Good food, lots of sleep too. I didn't finish my cleaning project but that was because of my chucking biscuts and my 101 temperature. Can't complain about the gifts, hey, I got a trip to San Juan, some diamonds in the form of an earring for my piercing (see July 4 2006) and a white gold heart necklace with diamond chips from Conor, and gift cards. Oh and the marshmallow fork that spins. lol.

Need to get to bed, it has been a long day.

Shopping done. Room cleaned. All that is left is to wrap and.... clean some more. Less than a week left before heading back. Christmas is in 3 days and that is exciting. So is the idea of my bed warmed by my electric blanket, man, did I miss that thing.

Someday I want to....

• Own my own home
• Learn to dance
• Actually roll a kaiak.
• Buy a new car.
• Own a piece of jewelry from Tiffany.
• Live by a lake.
• Have a boat on that lake.
• Know how to water-ski behind that boat on that lake.
• Find what is that I really love to do.
• Learn a form of self defense.
• Ride in carriage pulled by a horse through Central Park.
• Know that I have finally moved past learning how to life and am actually living.
• Go out and be the Belle of the Ball.
• Finish a sewing project.
• Have a Christmas tree with a theme.
• Have a Christmas tree that looks like my family’s always does.
• Have a kid/children so there are ornaments like “baby’s first Christmas” and first grade craft projects.
• Camp someplace that I had to walk to.
• Go all the places I loved reading about.
• Know that I am happy and wouldn’t have done anything different.
• Surprise people with my actions (in a good way).
• Get married.
• Take a perfect picture.
• Have organizational skills.
• Be able to read the alarm clock in the middle of the night.
• Do/Learn/Have/Feel too many things to actually write on a list (which has occurred in no particular order)

We are the Champions (of finals!)

Almost there.....

Two down, one more to go. I thought my two finals yesterday went well. (which is good) Just three practices, two nights, and one final, and I'm comin' home for break, and to wonder what I'm going to do about presents.

I Spy with my Little Eye

Sunday napping.

I layed down today, and told myself I was going to get up in a half an hour. Of course I got up two and half hours later. Doesn't that seem to always happen? I've been gettin' my tushy in gear, but I've got a nice break coming up tomorrow. (literally, my daddy is coming to hang for a couple hours, so we'll probably do that eating around noon thing called lunch).

Miss Beth.

So, I'm not sure, but I think it's my more-like-family-than-most-of-my-actual-family-quasy-aunt's Birthday. Note the I think. Anyways, I also wanted to thank her for the Christmas card. It (much like my package yesterday) about made my day. If Phil wants his picture put up someplace in my dorm room, cool. Otherwhise (and with no offence meant towards him in anyway) I will probably just loose it. Oh, and a note to Phil. Sorry I won't be at our family's Christmas this year so you are finally going to have to be Santa. (Actually maybe I will be there, but I'm not sure, either way, I think you should be Santa)

Goals for tonight

1-revise Enzyme lab, HUGE part of my grade in the evil Biology Lab

2-finish my Christmas cards that are going to people on campus

Surprise Day!!!

Was defiantly a day of surprises. Like showing up at Hinkle at 6:15 to lift only no one is there. They are at the pool for the practice that started at 5:30. I did it at 7, not that bad really. I was only mildly surprised to do nothing in English, we spent our time talking about our family's Christmas traditions. We all liked the kid whose family had made it their goal to have more Christmas decorations every year. I felt bad for the girl whose mom burned all her little kid ornaments. That sounds terrible, but it didn't sound all that terrible when she said it. I mentioned, moms angel, and how we get a new set of matching name ornaments almost every year. I did tell some girls about all the snowmen. They are cute, but I'm glad we don't get 5 new ones every year anymore.

To add to the surprises I got a 95 on our last Chemistry exam!! I only have to do decent on the final to keep my A. Yeah. Not very many surprises in the afternoon. After practice I was pleasantly surprised to hear that study tables were cancelled. Yeah!! No more study tables, hopefully forever!!! (knock on wood). I was chillin' in my room, when I finished off my Christmas cards with the stamps I bought from the machine today so I went down to mail them when I was very surprised to find a package slip in my box. A PACKAGE!!???!!! Sweet, a big yellow box that says Cherry Republic on it.... with a card that says "Have a good finals week, love mom and dad" That one about made my day.

The last real surprise of the day wasn't a good one. Went to the Health Center to see the Dr. since there wasn't one there yesterday, yup I have an ear infection. not yeah. Especially not yeah for the amoxicillin that is the treatment.

Two more days of classes, home in 9.

Winding Down

My first semester at Butler is coming to an end. (YEAH!!!!!) At this point it couldn't happen fast enough. I love it here, but classes just need to be done for a while. I've been lacking motivation. I think I spent 2 straight hours today surfing the internet, IMDb, to Wikipedia, to find out that the theatre that showed Rocky Horror just closed down in Indy, to oh who knows what, probably the military coup in Fiji and Hillary's electability.

uh oh

My ear hurts. I don't want an ear infection!!!!!

Tried H2O2, didn't really work, just made it hurt worse.

100 Posts!!!!

Oh ya, the bus got suck and the guys had to push. I like Mo's one arm pushing.....

Hope......

I forgot to mention, Hope College was playing Carthage in Basketball while we were there.

Wisconsin was a flashback to 6th grade. I saw a Quik Trip, and everyone thought the girl from Wisconsin and I were making up bagged milk. I also saw a Farm and Fleet, not quite the Fleet Farm and the bottom of the hill but it was close. Plus there was the snow.... and ice.....

The best part was passing Lake Michigan, I don't get to see it in the cold very often, it's just as cool cold as it is in the summer. Sigh and dream......

Man, am I tired.

We did get that snow, like 17 inches of it. Good thing that was Wisconsin and we got to leave and come back here. It was a long trip. I swam pretty well, but we were "rested" (not actually tappered, but "rested"), so that was to be expected. Swam the mile, that thing is LONG. And Mo is an awful counter. Really it was a good meet.

Bus ride back stunk, spent four hours trying to sleep. Note- trying. Not exactly fun. I talked to Conor when we got back and he told me he thought I was drunk I sounded so funny. Nope, definatly just tired.

Praying for once

Soooo....... Snow, it's supposed to be a lot. Not happy, don't wanna be cold and I don't like wearing two hoodies for a coat.

I need to get to bed.
