Edenberg

Headed yesterday after classes to the Edenberg Outlet. We had a good time. Traffic on the way there was bad (but stopped in that direction coming back) and my car was extra warm from sitting in the sunshine all morning. There were many nice things that I like (a turqoise skirt at Guess and a pair of bermuda khaki shorts and Tommy for example) but all in all it was a good trip. Didn't get the jeans that were my goal but all the jeans stunk, I can understand seeing as one it isn't the season for jeans and two the stores were not exactly known for thier jeans. I did end up with some really good deals at Banana Republic on a plain white T (one I don't have one, two was thinking about that Guess skirt) a nice pair of linen-esqe khakis and a dress top, my one splurge. Well off to an early breakfast, I don't even get up before 9 for school....... It's a saturday!

I tried sushi today. I don't really care for it. At least now I can say that instead of "I've never tried it." I would add sky diving to that (for $50) but not one wanted to go with me, and $50 is a little over the budget right now. Back to sushi I had a roll with shrimp avacado cream cheese and some mango.... I think I got it all.... and I tried a peice of red snapper nagi (did I spell that right?) it was raw red snapper over rice. That was actually better than my maui roll, but not really my thing.

Krista, our friend Ellen, and I are heading to the Edenburgh outlet Friday! I'm hoping to find some jeans at Gap (for a price better than their usual $60). It should be a lot of fun.

Spring

It's Spring on Bulters campus. We even had our first huge rain yesterday, or at least the first that actually affected me. There are some buds on the trees (which I learned friday will soon become invasive and take over the world, ok it wasn't quite that dramatic). It is also shorts all the time weather, well except for maybe outside at night. Inside at night is still shorts weather. Sorry, no pics....

Music.

I listen to a lot more music now than I ever did before college. I used to read instead but you can throw up itunes while doing grunt work, you can't exactly read for fun while doing reading for school. I guess that is were the different lyrics posts have come from.

I've gotten to the point I don't share the songs I actually like with people. They usually have parts that I connect with, but any time I've shared with someone a song that really says something to me (like musicians say music should) I get told that I can't like that song because I just can't understand it because I've never been in that position. Well news flash people, you don't have to have a really messed up life to associate with music that talks about one.

Biology....

So my Biology book is not exactly up to date. I don't feel like looking up the publishing date but this is the 2nd year is a row I've used to the book so I'd say it's at least three years old (high schools are really tough about the books they buy b/c they have to last 10 years). It made me laught because it was talking about emergent viruses and there was 3 paragraphs on HIV, 2 paragraphs and 2 pictures of SARS, and 2 sentances about bird flu. Oh new viruses and their hype, lets get on to prions they are a billion times cooler.

When I was your age it was called "Camp Snoopy"

The title of this post is the name of a group I am in on facebook. The Mall of America has taken Snoopy out of it's amusment park, replacing him? Sponge Bob. Ok, it's Nickelodeon. Don't get me wrong, I was a Nickelodeon kid, but 90's Nickelodeon was about a billion times better than the trash that is on there now. (Everybody loves a weirdo mind-reading tween? ummm no, we don't) What happened to my mighty ax and the log ride? Snoopy and his camp rocked my world..... I'm actually sad that the only thing I could do at the Mall of America now is shop, and yes that actually saddens me.
