Another Speyer Week

It's been another week in Speyer. We're about half-way done (sadness). We've finally gotten into the balance of school and fun. I gave the last of my paper presentations so now I've just got to write them and do some paper presentations. I think I'll go through the week day by day.

Monday and Tuesday where dedicated to school work. Had some stuff to get done.

Wednesday was amazing. We had a pretty chill day of classes. Right after I headed into town to meet a woman I found on couchsurfing.com. We had drinks and just talked. Life in Germany vs life in the US, that kind of thing. She was really nice, I think we'll be meeting again to just chat and see more of the town. Then I headed to the regular Wednesday party. They're hosted by the Lander's (states) but this week it was international student night. So they played a lot of American songs (though they normally do that) and we just had a blast.

Thursday we headed to Karlsruhe to visit the German Constitutional Court (essentially the German Supreme Court) and then a University (where we talked about Nuclear energy, which may have been interesting if anyone in the room cared).

Friday I slept in (one of my favorite things!) and then we commandeered our lecture room to watch movies and eat pizza. That's right. D2 Mighty Ducks and pizza. Love it.

All in all it's been a pretty chill week with not a lot to report.
