Traverse

Headed to Traverse City this weekend for the wedding of Conor's older brother to his long time girl friend. Her parents live in Traverse, thought I believe she actualy grew up in the Detroit area. The wedding was beautiful and took place at the Hagerty Center, part of Northwestern Michigan College's Maritime school. Right on the bay and very pretty.

Fun Points of the Trip-

1- Got kicked out of my first bar. We (four of us 14, two 17, and 19) were invited to join the 21-40's at the bar across from the hotel. So we headed over there, apparently it was one were you had to be over 21. Anyways we hung out for 20 min or so before being kicked out. (I was asked what I wanted twice before leaving. Conor and Kyle gave us away....)

2- One of the attendants husband is makes his living being a Power Ranger. But hush... apparently no one is supposed to know, not that they did a good job keeping the circle of trust closed.

Bummer Point of the Trip-

1- The only time we had to just chill was 10pm on Friday night. So, combined with nothing happening in downtown Traverse, and the absolute negativity of the whole area by his father, I do believe Conor will never be able to share my love of "Up North." Kinda depressing. You always want to share things you love with people you care about, and it's a bit of a bummer when they don't get it.
